The following recipee is my personal mix of some recipees for Lebkuchen which I found on the net. For me the result was fantastic. But my wife said spices like cinnamon do not belong into sweets, they belong into normal food.
- 500g maida
- 400g sugar
- 0.5l milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoon Lebkuchen spice (*)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
Mix milk, egg, oil and honey in a bowl. In a separate bowl mix maida, sugar, spices and baking soda. Then slowly mix the powder into the other bowl.
The first time I made this cake I’ve putt all the dough into a round form. The result was around 4cm high on the outside and around 6cm in the middle, and the middle was not fully baked through. So do not put too much dough into your cake form. I guess it should be just around 2cm high to become well baked.
Bake for around 40 minutes at 180°C.
(*) I used Lebkuchen spice from Migros Switzerland. The next step is to find a good recipee for this spice mix.
